Why did Lucifer (or Satan) rebel from God?

the devil was a liar. he was completely jealous with mankind, because we were given the gift of having the apprearance of the Father. the devil wanted not only that gift, but he also wanted to be like God in every way. he wanted to rule. it is true, he was one of God's most favorite angels. the Bible even says that he had rubies on his robes! (authority) but God saw his trash, so he kicked him out of heaven and made hell specifically for him and his angels, not mankind. that's why when you die and (if you died without Jesus) go to hell, you dont belong to God, but to the devil, and since you're his child, God sends that person from Himself to hell with the devil and his angels. interesting =]
