Looking to learn PHP and Java?

I'm looking to learn PHP and Java. I don't have much prior programming knowledge. I am very good at HTML and CSS. I have messed around with PHP before and I understand the basics of it, but I'm looking to become proficient in it. I'm also looking to learn to program in Java. Where would you recommend going to learn these languages and which would you recommend learning first? Also do you have any recommendations as to development envoirnments. I have fedora core 7 installed if there is something in there and I also have Dreamweaver.
