The wife and I can't decide between Sevenoaks, Kent or Dorking, Surrey. Which is nicer?

I know both towns and both are really attractive. There's not a lot to choose between them. If I had to choose I would go for Dorking. It has lovely countryside on its doorstep - Box Hill, Leith Hill and lovely Surrey villages nearby. It is conveniently near Gatwick Airport, has good connections by rail to London and the motorway system. It's less than an hour to the coast. You already know about the town and its amenities. The town is slightly smaller than Sevenoaks and has more of a country town feel about it. So my vote would go to Dorking. Hope that helps.
