Explain the role of hemoglobin in monitoring blood pH?

Hemoglobin is ociated with the alkaline part of the blood's pH. More hemoglobin(oxygen) the greater the pH increases. CO2 is the opposite, it's acidic and decreases blood pH. These two things balance each other out by the work of the lungs, by hyperventilating or hyperventilating.
