Did or Could God have created 'nothingness'?

Any attempt to figure out what God can or cannot do is pointless---the various properties ascribed to God (omnipotence, omniscience, etc.) are so broad as to be paradoxical. Furthermore, there is no way to verify any hypothesis about God. Biblical language is imprecise; perhaps no human language has the correct concepts to deal with ultimate reality.
