Did Bush fix the last season of "American Idol"?

Taylor Hicks's elementary school teacher just happens to be the press secretary of Laura Bush, and "American Idol" itself is on a station owned by Rupert Murdoch. And now the cast is being invited to the White House. Anyone else see something eerie about this?
