Would you say this is a good thesis for a research paper on Lord of the Flies?

Through his novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding shows his beliefs that there is no hope for mankind, or that mankind is inherently evil. These views are shown through the setting and the characters in the novel. Golding eliminates virtually all factors other than natural man in a natural state, and even with these factors removed; evil still finds its own way of presenting itself amongst the boys stranded on the island.
