Sally Morgan - Evil, yes or no?

Not sure about her being evil, but I do know what you mean about taking advantage of some people who are grieving. They seem to remember all the things she gets right and forget all the things she got wrong (which would be the majority). I also find the things these people say are very general - you know a pair of twins, I can see a caravan, you put yourself down, etc.
