Is anyone else confused how Jaron and the Long Road to Love is considered country?

Not sure how that came about. I think in the other music categories it gets asked about a lot also as a pop song. The song and video are funny , have to admit i like it and my grandson loves it. Cannot listen to Taylor Swift at all but Pray For You i can. The song has entered Top 40 on the Hot Country Songs charts It seems that the people that liked him and his brother just started asking for the song in country.
